CareerCompass USA Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Aurora Product Systems ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the invite-only CareerCompass USA private beta.

Information we collect

• Account details, including your name, email address, and authentication identifiers.
• Content you provide, such as resumes, career documents, work history, skills, job postings, notes, and application-tracking details.
• Content CareerCompass derives from your submissions, including career evidence, job-fit analysis, draft resumes, cover notes, and application packets.
• Consent records, security and audit events, and limited technical data needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
• Messages you send to us for support or feedback.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve CareerCompass, authenticate users, enforce the private-beta invitation list, store and retrieve your materials, generate requested drafts and analyses, protect the service, respond to support requests, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Fit scores and generated material are decision-support tools, not hiring predictions or professional advice.

Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers that process information for us, including Clerk for authentication, Neon for database hosting, Vercel and Vercel Blob for application and private-file hosting, and Upstash for rate limiting. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If an AI-assisted feature is enabled, the interface will identify it. Information needed to fulfill that request may be sent to the configured processing provider. Generated output is draft material that you must review before use.

Storage, security, and retention

Uploaded files are stored in private storage and downloads are mediated by CareerCompass. We use access controls, encrypted connections, and separation between user accounts. No system can guarantee absolute security. We retain account content while needed to operate the beta and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, subject to security, backup, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.

Your choices

CareerCompass provides controls to review, export, correct, and delete account information. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information or to address a privacy concern. Applicable law may provide additional rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Eligibility and location

This U.S.-only beta is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit another person's sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so.

Changes and contact
